Volunteer Cleanup Crew Required

Volunteers are required this Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 at 10:00am for a Pre-AMFD/AMCS BBQ cleanup at the Summit Centre?  It won’t be as big a job as the last cleanup but it does need some primping. Anyone interested can just show up at the Summit Centre with rakes and wheelbarrows, and whatever other tools you think may be required. The more the merrier.

See you there.

Spring Cleanup Rescheduled to May 25

Due to the rain that is forecast over the next few days and the fact that it is the Victoria Day Long Weekend, we have decided to reschedule the Summit Centre Cleanup until May 25 from 10am to 12pm. We hope you all enjoy your long weekend, and we hope to see you on May 25th.

Help me give back.

Hello Everyone,
I am really excited about giving back and ask if you are able to do
this with me.  Desert Sun Counseling and Resource Centre Osoyoos/Oliver
have many supports and programs for children and families including a
transition house for those who have been forced leave their homes.  I am
doing a Scentsy Buddy/Sidekick drive to collect as many
Buddies/Sidekicks as possible to deliver to Desert Sun in the middle of
December to give to the children.

If you wish to help, first check out the attached poster to see
which Buddies/Sidekicks there are to choose from.  Second – when you
have chosen the one(s) you would like to donate just let me know and I
will order them and deliver them all in mid December to Desert Sun..
Deadline to have you r chose in by is December 1st. Thank-you for any
support you can give.
Let’s put some smiles on some children’s faces!

Update on Canada Day Float

Hello Neighbours on Anarchist Mountain

The community is proceeding with developing a float for Osoyoos’ Canada Day parade.  Thank you to those who came out to the meeting on May 15th and for the other ideas shared by residents who were unavailable that evening.

There are still opportunities for everyone to be involved and we encourage your participation, both before and on July 1st.  Bring your enthusiasm and share ideas.

Banners are being ordered and the fire department is providing a vehicle.  The theme will be built around Life on the Mountain.  Dress up with the gear/equipment of your favourite activity (bird watching, astronomy, hiking, cycling, snowshoeing etc).  Or wildlife.  Decorate your bicycle or ATV (licensed and insured) and ride along.  Come ride the float or walk alongside dressed in your costume or decked out in Canada Day colours.

If you have any props that you would consider lending for the float, be it a statue, large stuffed animal/bird representative of our area, mascot, signs, gear, flags etc., please let us know ASAP.

We also require volunteers to come into town the morning of the parade and help with the final decorating of the float (to not risk the decor falling off when the vehicle is driven down the hill).

Come show your community spirit and join in on the fun.

Please contact one of the following and let us know where you’re interested in participating.
