Happy New Year to all Anarchists!
The first day of January 2024 brought fog and mist to our mountain, but that didn’t stop a number of neighbours from coming to the Jamie Soule Memorial Park for a bonfire gathering.
Traditionally, we have had a bonfire at the park on Boxing Day but the AMCS Board decided to move this annual event to January 1st to ring in the New Year.
Our two new fire pits arrived a few days before New Year’s Day and they look great! (See above.) We hope they will get plenty of use. Of course, hot dogs, marshmallows, and plenty of hot drinks were the order of the day.
As a member of the JSMP Working Group, I can share that we will continue to expand the park infrastructure this year with a stage for music, family events, seminars etc.
