Our community has had quite a few new residents join us here on Anarchist Mountain since we held a Bear Safety Seminar in 2014. The Community Society has two copies of a 20 – 30 minute DVD video available for anyone that wishes borrow them. You may have an interest in watching this very informative documentary on bear behaviour and what to do in case you run into a bear unexpectedly in an open situation. This is an excellent video that is worth the time to watch especially if you have never encountered a bear in the wild before.
