Sign Up for “Voyent Alert!” for RDOS Notifications

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is reminding residents, property owners, and visitors to prepare now for emergencies by signing up for Voyent Alert!, the RDOS notification system. If you’re already registered, please update your location and notification preferences to ensure you receive accurate alerts.

Download the Voyent Alert! app from the App Store or Google Play or visit register.voyent-alert.com.

When you register, you’re automatically signed up for all routine and emergency notifications. Please update your settings to ensure you receive notifications that are relevant to you. You can receive critical event and emergency alerts and informational notifications, including garbage and recycling information, water and sewer notices, and public engagement opportunities.

During critical events or emergencies such as wildfires, floods, or landslides, the RDOS Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) will activate to support operations, coordinate services, and distribute information.

Please take a moment to ensure your family, business, or organization is prepared by creating an emergency plan and familiarizing yourself with official information sources.

During an EOC activation, the RDOS distributes information through the following channels:

Live video updates may be scheduled to provide additional information. Depending on availability of other agencies, such as BC Wildfire Service, video updates usually take place at 2:00 pm PT. Additional video updates may be scheduled as needed. Video updates are hosted via Webex and carried live on the RDOS YouTube channel.
