Description
Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2019
Tasting Notes:
With a style very similar to the 2018, Fairview is again using grapes from the Iverson's vineyard and Fairview's own. Each vineyard adds its own depth and flavour to this wine.
As with previous vintages Semillon coming from the Iverson Vineyard is used adding even more complexity, 1/3 of the juice was barrel fermented in new French oak 'sur lies' for 3 months.
Food Pairing:
Although oysters are not the only food pairing it is our favourite for sure.
Bucket O' Blood
Tasting Notes:
The name for this blend of Syrah and Cabernet Franc is derived from the nickname given to the Moffat Saloon which was located in the old Fairview Townsite in the 1800's. Like the Saloon this is a rough and tumble wine not suitable for the faint of heart. No ladies were found in the Saloon, but plenty of women were always present.
