The WildLIFE Safety Awareness Program, which is under the Anarchist Mountain Fire Rescue Society (AMFRS), is very proud of how this community has come together to minimize risk of negative wildlife encounters.
This has an overall impact of safety to residents and all who come here to enjoy the area.
AMCS is pleased to welcome back Valerie Maida from the Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship (OSS) to teach us about the snakes of the Okanagan-Similkameen. Participants will learn how to be Snake Smart, and how to minimize the chance of a snake encounter when enjoying the outdoors.

The organizers were keeping an eye out on the weather as we were in and out of thunderstorm warnings all day. The Sun Salutations that Brenda Arychuk’s morning yoga group were doing certainly worked as we were treated to a day of peek-a-boo sun. The skies truly opened up about half an hour after the event wrapped up. AMAZING!
