AMCS is pleased to welcome back Valerie Maida from the Okanagan Similkameen Stewardship (OSS) to teach us about the snakes of the Okanagan-Similkameen. Participants will learn how to be Snake Smart, and how to minimize the chance of a snake encounter when enjoying the outdoors.
Afterwards, you may choose to get up close and personal with the OSS snake ambassador, Nora the Gopher Snake!
The event takes place at 10 am on Saturday June 10th at Jamie Soule Memorial Park, 105 Sasquatch Trail. We will be outdoors, so please dress for the weather and temperature. Lawn chairs are recommended, but not required.
This is a free event, but a donation at the door will help OSS continue to run programs just like this one, and are much appreciated!
