Did you know that Anarchist Mountain Fire Department has trained and licensed Emergency Medical Assistants – First Responders (EMA-FR’s)?

EMA-FR’s are regulated under B.C. Emergency Health Services.

When a 9-1-1 call for an ambulance is made from within the Anarchist Mountain Fire Protection District, the AMFD medical responders are dispatched for urgent, priority calls to assist until the ambulance arrives.

The AMFD EMA-FR’s volunteer their time for ongoing training and also partake in scenario training with the rest of the department’s firefighters.

The primary mandate of AMFD is to provide fire protection for its fire protection district.

Additional services of specialized medical and rescue programs are supported by the generous donations and fundraising which help provide the ongoing training and equipment needs of these specialized services.
