Living on the Land Education Series July 15th 2021 @ FireHall

Event is going ahead and we are setting up inside the main floor of the Fire Hall. The Conservation Officer and the WildSafe BC Coordinator will both speak for approximately 45 minutes then we’ll take a break. For those affected with the smoke and heat you can leave at that point. Following the break we’ll have info tables set up for our experts to answer your questions, have a Bear Spray demo, learn more about alternatives to bird feeders, composting in bear country and more. You know best what your tolerance is with the smoky hot conditions we are faced with. Thanks everyone!

It is so great to begin to come out of “COVID hibernation” and safely gather as a community again.  The spirit of this event is for us to get to know our neighbours, assist in keeping each other safe, while learning to live in coexistence with the beautiful wildlife around us.

We are so happy to be able to put this on with the support of WildSafe BC, the BC Conservation Officer Service and funded by the South Okanagan Community Foundation Grant!
