REMINDER: Canada Day Float Meeting Tues May 15 at 7:00 PM

                                           NEIGHBOURHOOD SMALL GRANT AWARD

Hello Neighbours

Further to the February 27, 2018 post on our community website, we applied for a grant offered through the South Okanagan Similkameen Community Foundation. Criteria included connecting and engaging neighbourhood residents. The application was for a float in Osoyoos’ Canada Day parade July 1, 2018.

We have just been notified that our application for $500 was approved; so we now have an opportunity to create a float and have some fun to show the spirit of the mountain in town.

There are many ways that residents can be involved at various times over the next while, such as developing a theme, helping with set creation, ordering signs/ banners, decorating, building skills, loan of appropriate equipment (flat bed trailer, truck to pull the float), general assistance, costume ideas, or participating in the parade. The parade is always fun.

We invite to you, or your spouse or a friend, to participate in any part of this community activity either before and/or during the event. We want to get together and have a chat about how we make this idea come to life.

Please join us at the Summit Centre on Tues May 15 at 7:00 PM for a 45 minute meeting. If you are not available at that time yet would like to share comments, please contact one of the following:
