Dear Neighbours;
We are two weeks away from the next Live at the Summit Concert. Gorden James and his piano player are scheduled to entertain us on THURSDAY, Feb 22 at the Summit Centre. The doors will open at about 7 PM, with the show starting at 7:30. Gorden is well know in Kelowna, and plays a variety of popular song covers, and some original songs as well.
So far we have only sold 18 tickets. We need 30 sold to break even. We are a bit surprised at the slow sales for the evening. If you plan to attend the concert evening can you please let our Entertainment Chair, Giselle know that you want tickets. We have enjoyed putting these concerts on in the past, and they have always been well supported. They take a lot of effort to put on by dedicated volunteers. We’ll just have to see if these music events are what the community wants in the future. If you have a comment about the concert series please let Giselle and me hear from you by email.
