Dear Neighbours,
Hasn’t it been an odd late spring season? – with cool temperatures, lots of rain and even a few snow flakes up on Raven last week. Crazy. But now we hope to get into summer mode – big time. Here are a few dates to remember.
- Sunday – July 3 – MARKET on the MOUNTAIN 10am – 2 PM, Summit Centre, Hwy 3 /East 150 Peregrine Rd, Anarchist Mountain, — adjacent Rest Stop (many local producers, crafters, gifts and accessories)
- Saturday – July 16 – Annual Picnic/ BBQ and Silent Auction (also at the Summit Centre
- Silent Auction start time 3:30 PM
- BBQ start time 4:30 PM; pot luck – bring a dish to share)
In preparation for the Market and the BBQ/ Silent Auction we need to do another clean up / grass cutting work party at the Summit Centre. As always we will limit the time we ask for you to volunteer to 1.5 hrs. This time our Fire Dept. is asking their members to come out and help with the clean up along with residents of our community – as a Thank You for the funds that will be raised from the proceeds of the Market and the Silent Auction.
We are going to do this work on:
TUESDAY – June 28th from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Please bring your weed whackers, blowers, rakes, wheel barrows etc. to help. We will have at least one pick up truck and a trailer to cart away trimmings to our FireSmart brush pit. With lots of help we’ll get this done in 90 minutes. Hope you can join us and pitch in.
