Dear Residents,
As you may recall we have been speaking to the RDOS’s composting expert – Cameron Baughen about participating in a seminar about home composting. Composting offers the opportunity to not only make great soil amendment material, but it can also reduce the amount of garbage we sent to landfill by 20% – 35%.
As things turn out Cameron is going to be in Osoyoos, on Monday March 23 commencing at 6:30 PM at the Sonora Centre in town, providing composting information. As I understand it there are opportunities to purchase composter units as well; details in poster.
We are going to tie into Cameron’s visit. Please have a look at the attached poster for more information and plan to drop into this interesting seminar.
