The Community Society was asked to invite Linda Larson, our local MLA, to a meeting to discuss Fortis electricity rates.
That meeting will take place on Thurs, Dec. 18th at 10 AM at the Summit Centre. All are welcome, and you are invited to discuss any concerns you may have on this matter with your MLA at that time.
Nick Marty will be presenting. Nick worked for the Federal Government on energy issues from 1977 to 2007, first at the National Energy Board and then at Natural Resources Canada. From 1989 to 2000, he was Director, Policy Development & Analysis with the Office Of Energy Efficiency and from 2001 to 2007, he was Senior Director, Domestic Environment Policy Development. During the last 20 years of his career, he worked on the development, implementation and assessment of virtually every initiative considered by the Federal Government to promote energy conservation and efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
